Making a difference

Over the last 17 years, the annual 10Km and 3Km events have gone from strength to strength, raising more than £90,000 for Bourn Primary Academy and the local community. 

For the school:

  • Helped to fund the new (Feb 2024) KS1 trim trail at Bourn Primary.
  • Maintenance and repair to the Bourn Primary swimming pool, giving all children access to free swimming lessons during the summer term.
  • New interactive whiteboards to enrich the children’s learning experience in the classroom.
  • New laptops to enable the children to learn key IT skills for life. 
  • Planting of the school vegetable garden
  • New PE equipment to promote fitness and wellbeing for all students.
  • New books for the school library to give a wide choice of material for all pupils

For the community:

  • Resurfacing the tennis courts at Bourn Sports and Social Club
  • Purchasing a resting bench for the centre of the village
  • Help towards the repair of the church roof
  • Maintenance of the recreation ground
  • Help with the refurbishment of the Bourn Sports and Social Club Pavilion.
